Take part in Mobile Data Challenge organized by Nokia
Submitted by Sergey Balandin on 19.11.11Do you have an interest in analyzing Big Data, collected in real life, mobile context? Nokia Research Center Lausanne and its academic Swiss partners (Idiap and EPFL) have recently completed a Data Collection Campaign (http://research.nokia.com/page/11367) in the Lake Geneva region. Rich data from smartphones of almost 200 participants was collected in the course of more than one year. The Mobile Data Challenge (MDC) releases the Lausanne data for the research community.
Description of the Challenge
The Challenge comprises two alternative tracks: Open Track and Dedicated Track.
The Open Track invites you to propose your own Challenge task - one that matches with your own research interests and background.

Submitted by Sergey Balandin on 03.11.11We are proudly announce results of a first series of the regional Qt contests in Russia among the graduates of Qt trainings that were organized in different cities in Russia in the spring-summer 2011. The first four winner teams are as follows:
- Winner of the Qt contest in St-Petersburg is Regina Dorokhova, project DietMonitor;
- Winners of the Qt contest in Nizhny Novgorod are Sergey Lebedev and Daniil Osokin, project Sputnik Defender;
- Winner of the Qt contest in Moscow is Denis Denisenko, project FunBox;
- Winners of the Qt contest in Novosibirsk are Egor Lezhnin and Evgeny Lezhnin, project Rong.
