On April 26 2012 FRUCT with support of Nokia University Program organizes the first Regional seminar on Mobile Healthcare, early diagnostics and fitness. The area of mobile healthcare is one of the fastest developing areas with a lot of growth potential, research and business opportunities. The seminar is targeted to demonstrate state of the art in field of mobile healthcare in Russia and CIS and exchange best practices and ideas with colleagues from other regions. The seminar program will consist of the invited lectures given by the top experts in the field:
- Prof. Oleg Medvedev from Moscow State University will give a talk on “Mobile Healthcare in Russia”
- Prof. Andrei Gurtov from University of Oulu will give a talk on “Secure Remote Monitoring of Personal Medical Appliances”
- Prof. D. K. Arvind from the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh will talk on “Speckled Computing for Healthcare”
- Fabrizio Cecchinelli, International Trade Marketing Manager at Health Corporate & Public, Technogym SPA will give a presentation on “Motivating people to be physically active: the role of technology and web”
In addition a number of student reports and presentation of the local developers will be given. This is the first event of this kind in a series of events that are planned for the future. The seminar organizers welcome all attendees of the FRUCT conference to join the seminar and become a member of FRUCT mHealth working group. The seminar program consists of three intensive sessions, followed by the open face-to-face meeting of the FRUCT mHealth working group and social event with demos of mobile healthcare solutions.
The seminar will be held in co-location with the 11th FRUCT conference, so in addition the the seminar package, all facilities of the 11th FRUCT conference will be available for the seminar participants.
