Demo section The Demo section of the 16th FRUCT conference will be combined with the conference social event. It will be held on October 30 (Thursday) from 17.30 till 20.30. The conference and seminar participants are warmly welcome to take part in the event. We ask all authors to send titles and 2-3 paragraph descriptions of your demo proposals to infofruct.org by October 6, 2014. Please also make sure that the demo will be prepared in line with the below provided recommendations.

Registration Thanks to our sponsors, we provide free of charge registration to the conference, but all participants must fill-in the registration form below. If you are the conference author, please first register to the conference and then SUBMIT your Full paper (6 - 12 pages), or “presentation only” publication, poster/demo proposal (200 words - 5 pages document with standard paper header followed by the abstract text). Please submit your papers in ZIP or TGZ format and make sure that it follows our template: MS Word or LaTeX.

m-Health and Wellbeing Overview FRUCT Association organizes the Mobile Healthcare and Wellbeing seminar. Mobile Healthcare is fast developing area with a lot of growth potential, research and business opportunities. The seminar bringing together experts from both Russia and Finland, we are aiming to discuss current trends and challenges in the mobile healthcare and wellbeing industry in both regions, exchange with experiences and knowledge about what additional value use of mobile technologies can bring to healthcare and wellbeing, as well as converse mobile healthcare and wellbeing business opportunities by involving companies to take part in the panel discussion and share their practices as regards to commercialization of mobile healthcare and wellbeing solutions.

Smart e-Tourism seminar You are warmly welcome to participate in an interactive discussion with academic researchers and tourism business representatives from both Oulu and Russian Karelia regions. The seminar is held on October 28-30, 2014 organized by the team of FRUCT Oy, Petrozavodsk State University, Center for Internet Excellence (University of Oulu), Saint-Petersburg Institute for Informatics and Automation of Russian Academy of Sciences and Tourist Information Centre of the Republic of Karelia. The seminar is free of charge and open for participation.

Practical Information The 16th conference of the Open Innovations Association FRUCT provides an unmatched collaboration and education forum for all matters Finnish-Russian technological and educational cooperation in ICT. The conference brings together the best and brightest that the Regional communities have to offer, including core developers, administrators, end users, business executives, and operations experts - the best technical talent and the decision makers and industry experts who are involved in the community.

Accomodation The main section of the 16th FRUCT conference will be held in the main building of the University of Oulu. The university is located 20 minutes from the centre of Oulu. You can get there from the airport by bus number 9 or from the city centre (and the railway station) by buses 3, 9. You can also walk from the city center through the picturesque places, but the whole route will take around 1,5 hours.

Call for Participation The 16th conference of the Open Innovations Association FRUCT will be held in Oulu, Finland, on 27-31 October 2014. This project is co-funded by the European Union, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Finland. Overview of FRUCT FRUCT is the largest regional cooperation framework between academia and industry in form of open innovations. FRUCT conferences are attended by the representatives of 25 FRUCT member universities from Russia, Finland, Denmark, Italy, Ukraine, India, industrial experts from Nokia, Qt community, EMC, EIT ICT Labs, Nokia Siemens Networks and a number of guests from other companies and universities.
