The Workshop on Machine Learning and Optimization for Communications Networks (MaLeN-2020) will be held on the main days of the 27th FRUCT conference on September 7-8, 2020. Download CFP in PDF.
COVID-19 STATUS - UPDATE
Despite COVID-19, we keep on collecting submissions and plan to hold MaLeN-2020 as planned on September 7-8. The workshop is organized as a virtual event. We welcome you Submit your papers.
Call for papers, posters and demos
Next-generation computing and networking technologies will allow a wide range of innovative services enabled by means of new high-performance wired and wireless communication networks. These will entail complicated planning, design and management problems that, to be effectively and efficiently solved, will require the development of novel machine learning and mathematical optimization approaches, or the adaptation of existing algorithms to these new problems.
The workshop will focus on the use of machine learning and optimization algorithms (such as exact algorithms, heuristics, or metaheuristics) for planning, design, and management problems associated with computing and networking. We encourage both theoretical and applied contributions.
The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- 5G technologies
- Sensor Networks
- Ad hoc, Mesh and Wireless Networks
- Cloud and Fog Computing
- Network Virtualization
- Internet of Things and Social Web of Things
- Social Computing and Networking
- Vehicular Communications
- Smart Grids
- High data rate and millimeter-wave communications
- Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC)
- Implementation of Social IoT for Smart Building
- Network planning, capacity analysis, and topology control
- Signal Processing for Communications
- Mobile Edge Computing and Caching
- Cross-layer optimization
- Massive Wireless Access
- Internet Services and Applications
The event is being run alongside the 27th IEEE FRUCT an interdisciplinary conference. The participants to the workshop will have access to all the sessions of the FRUCT conference. For your submissions please use the paper templates MS Word and LaTeX.
