Registration
Thanks to our sponsors, we provide free of charge registration to the conference, but all participants must fill-in the registration form below. If you are the conference author, please first register to the conference and then SUBMIT your Full Paper (4 - 12 pages), or “presentation only” publication, poster/demo proposal (150 words - 2 pages document with standard paper header followed by the abstract text). Please submit your papers in PDF format and make sure that it follows our template: MS Word or LaTeX.

Demo session
Presentation of FRUCT demos is divided into two parts. First all demos gets exactly 5 min timeslot at the special “Demo promotion section” that will be held as the last conference session on April 28 (before the social event). The demo presentation should consist of minimum 1 slide and maximum 2 slides that will changed automatically. The main purpose of this session is to encourage conference attendees to attend your demo stand.
AMICT 11 workshop
The Annual International Workshop on Advances in Methods of Information and Communication Technology (AMICT 2011) will be held in Petrozavodsk (Russia) on April 27-29, 2011. In this year the Workshop is co-located with the 9th Conference of Open Innovations Framework Program FRUCT. The workshop organizers are Petrozavodsk State University, University of Helsinki and FRUCT. AMICT 2011 covers various ICT areas that include, but are not restricted to, the following: Information technology, Network communication, Information systems, Theoretical and applied computer science, Algorithms and Modeling.
MeeGo training
Description MeeGo — a Linux-based open source operating system primarily targeted to mobile devices. MeeGo OS is intended for a wide range of devices from netbooks and smartfones to in-vehicle infotaiment systems. The purpose of this training is to form basic MeeGo development competences. Smart-M3 training
Overview The training session gives an overview of the Smart Space concept using the Smart-M3 platform as an open-source implementation (http://sourceforge.net/projects/smart-m3/) of this concept. We study different available APIs for the Smart-M3 platform and simple programming models for Smart-M3 applications. Smart-M3 is an interoperability platform that provides an infrastructure to share information expressed in RDF. The platform consists of a Semantic Information Broker (SIB) that stores the information and Knowledge Processors (KP) that can insert, remove, query, and subscribe to information.
Qt training
Description Qt is a cross-platform modular application framework which includes a class-library and tools and is widely used in software development. Using this framework one can develop applications for Linux desktop as well as for a variety of mobile platforms such as Symbian, Maemo, MeeGo. Qt is fast to learn and easy to use. A two-day hands-on training is for everyone to get acquainted with this framework and begin to develop applications.

FRUCT is currently negotiating about accommodation discounts in Petrozavodsk. If you are interested to get accommodation based on FRUCT price you have to mention it in your conference registration form and the organizing committee will contact you. Please note that FRUCT accepts accommodation requests that comes not later than 2 weeks prior to the conference. General information
The 9th conference of the Open Innovations Framework Program FRUCT will be held in Petrozavodsk, Russia, on 26-29 April 2011. This project is co-funded by the European Union, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Finland. Overview FRUCT is the largest regional cooperation framework between academia and industry in form of open innovations. FRUCT conferences are attended by the representatives of 20 FRUCT member universities from Russia, Finland, Denmark, Italy, Ukraine and industrial experts from Nokia, Nokia Siemens Networks and Symbian Foundation, a number of guests from other companies and universities.
